Event Description

• WHAT: Dangerously hot conditions. High temperatures between 100 and 105 degrees expected.
• WHERE: Cascade County below 5000ft, Judith Basin County and Judith Gap, Gallatin Valley, and Madison River Valley.
• WHEN: Until 3 AM MDT Sunday.
• IMPACTS: Heat related illnesses increase significantly during extreme heat.

Event Instructions

Do not leave young children and pets in unattended vehicles. Car interiors will reach lethal temperatures in a matter of minutes. Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. If you must spend time outdoors, wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke.
